Prepared a Greenpoint rental apartment for a new tenant by patching drywall, replacing broken door hardware, fixing a sticking window, re-caulking the bathtub, and touching up paint throughout. Replaced a broken towel bar and tightened all loose cabinet hinges. The apartment was move-in ready within two days.
Assembled a full bedroom set including bed frame, dresser, nightstands, and wardrobe in a Hell's Kitchen studio. Mounted a 65-inch TV on a plaster wall using proper toggle bolts and concealed the cables in a racetrack. Also hung three floating shelves and a full-length mirror.
Sealed drafty windows and doors throughout a Jamaica home in preparation for winter. Replaced worn weatherstripping on all exterior doors, applied fresh caulk around 14 windows, and added door sweeps. The homeowner noticed an immediate improvement in comfort and a drop in heating bills.
Repaired a large section of water-damaged drywall on the ceiling and wall of a Soundview apartment after an upstairs leak was fixed. Cut out the damaged material, installed new drywall, taped and mudded the seams, and primed the area. The patches are invisible after the final paint coat.
Power-washed and stained a backyard deck and repaired six damaged fence sections at a Port Richmond home. Replaced broken pickets, re-secured loose posts with new concrete footings, and applied a matching semi-transparent stain to the fence. The outdoor space looks unified and well-maintained.
